What is CLASSICAL Education?
Classical education describes the time-tested curricula, materials, and methods traditionally used to educate our youth, and serve to build and preserve our Western civilization. This liberal-arts tradition includes teaching objective standards, the instillation of real knowledge, and instruction in moral character and civic virtue.
By law, a Charter School is “FREE.”
It is publicly funded, it can NOT be a religious school, it has to be a non-profit, and it must have non-discriminatory enrollment with no test-in requirements.
What is our VISION?
Buffalo Mountain Classical Academy envisions a rigorous classical education for every student, fostering a love of learning that nurtures exemplary character, promotes productivity, and builds self-reliance for a life of purpose and impact.
What is our MISSION?
Buffalo Mountain Classical Academy’s mission is to provide a dynamic curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences that inspires a passion for knowledge, cultivates virtue and reason, and fosters an appreciation for our American heritage. We empower students within a supportive and creative environment, enabling them to realize their full potential and become exemplary citizens.
WHY?
It is clear that Summit K-12 Students are in need of a FREE alternative that is focused on classical education. Diversity of thought will be a cornerstone.
